Europa-Park is one of Germany’s most popular amusement parks. The park surprises its visitors annually with new attractions and entertainment concepts. Beyond its 50th anniversary, the Mack family, who operates the park, is thinking big and planning further innovations. Diana Reichle, head of corporate communications at Europa-Park, revealed what these are in a conversation with TRAVELBOOK.
Since March 22, the gates of the Baden-based Europa-Park have reopened. With the start of the new season, several new attractions are available, such as an interactive ride in the pyramid in the Luxembourg-themed area, the film Grand Prix of Europe, and a new parade. Fans can also look forward to an expansion of the Western town. But that’s not all: there are more developments and future plans for Europa-Park.
These Innovations Are Planned
The park is planning, among other things, an expansion of the fine-dining concept “Eatrenalin,” which opened in 2022. Guests travel on moving chairs through various themed rooms, accompanied by light, sound, scents, and a coordinated menu. In the coming years, this concept is set to expand beyond Germany. The operators are already in promising talks with China, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Switzerland, the USA, and Mexico, as Reichle reveals.

Additionally, a new dark ride is under discussion, where guests will experience a 45-minute combination of themed ride, storytelling, and culinary delights on a floating table called the Flowdiner. The attraction is designed to be flexible enough to adapt to various target groups and locations such as amusement parks, resorts, or shopping malls. However, an exact opening date has not yet been set.
In the newly opened Western town “Silver Lake City” this May, the construction of another hotel is also planned. According to the park’s press office, the Riverside Western Lodge with 119 rooms and a brewery serving its own Europa-Park beer is set to be completed by 2026. From 2026, Silver Lake City will accommodate more than 2,000 overnight guests.

Parallel to the lodge, the children’s house “Little Heroes” is also being developed in cooperation with the “RTL Foundation – We Help Children e.V.” This is aimed at families with children who have overcome cancer, offering them a free stay amidst the Western setting. DJ BoBo is sponsoring the project. Next year, Europa-Park will also open its 18th European-themed area, Monaco. A move is also on the horizon: the interactive VR experience center will relocate in summer 2026 from its location next to the “Krønasår” hotel to the Western town.
