Whether in summer or on mild autumn days, mini-golf is a true classic among leisure activities. It requires no extensive preparation or prior knowledge to get started. But which courses are the most popular according to reviews, and what makes them so special?
This question was explored by the travel voucher portal “tripz.de,” which analyzed more than 180,000 Google reviews of over 1,200 mini-golf courses across Germany. TRAVELBOOK reviewed the results and highlights the most beautiful courses.
As early as the 1920s, simplified versions of golf were played in parks or on rooftops in the UK and the USA. However, the first mini-golf course in the modern sense opened in 1954 in Ascona, Switzerland. From there, the sport quickly spread throughout Europe, including Germany.
