The Most Beautiful Pumpkin Farms and Festivals in Germany

Spargelhof Klaistow (Brandenburg)

Many Berliners are already familiar with it: the Spargelhof Klaistow. Located about 50 kilometers southwest of the capital, in the Beelitz district of Klaistow, everything revolves around pumpkins in the fall. From September 5 to November 15, over 100,000 pumpkins in all shapes and colors can be seen there. In addition to the large pumpkin market, there is the largest pumpkin exhibition in Berlin-Brandenburg 2026, this year under the theme “Pumpkin goes to Hollywood,” where impressive sculptures made of pumpkins can be admired.

Admission to the pumpkin exhibition at Spargelhof Klaistow costs 4 euros on weekdays and 4.50 euros on weekends. A season pass for the entire season is available for 10 euros. Children up to 12 years have free admission.

Erlebnisbauernhof Gertrudenhof (North Rhine-Westphalia)

Plenty of pumpkins can also be found at the Erlebnisbauernhof Gertrudenhof in Hürth-Hermülheim on the southwestern outskirts of Cologne. On the 25,000 square meter site, there is a pumpkin park from September 5 to November 8, featuring an exhibition and a pumpkin pyramid, as well as offerings for children such as bouncy castles and trampolines. The farm also includes a sanctuary petting zoo and a freely accessible farm market area.

Admission to the pumpkin park at Erlebnisbauernhof Gertrudenhof costs 9.90 euros per person for the whole day (10:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m., weekday promotional price). Those arriving in the afternoon can use a late ticket for 7.90 euros (4:30 p.m.–7:00 p.m.). Children under 3 years, birthday children, and persons with a disability ID have free admission.

Hartenauer Hof (Hesse)

Another pumpkin experience is offered by the Hartenauer Hof in Bickenbach in the Darmstadt-Dieburg district, between Darmstadt and Heidelberg. On selected days in the fall, the pumpkin café on the farm opens, which, in addition to asparagus, fruit, and vegetables, also grows pumpkins. From September 12 to October 11, autumn specialties centered around pumpkins are served there from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Oskarshausen (Saxony)

The amusement park Oskarshausen in Freital near Dresden transforms into “Kürbishausen” from September 2 to November 15. Under the theme “Pumpkin Olympics,” there are various XXL sculptures made from over 50,000 pumpkins. The farm also features Saxony’s largest pumpkin pyramid, creative shops, and a pumpkin cinema.

Admission to Oskarshausen is free, but separate tickets are required for exhibitions like Kürbishausen or the world of illusions. Children between 2 and 15 years pay 9.90 euros online, adults 12.90 euros, and seniors 67 and older 11.90 euros. Persons with disabilities and registered companions also pay 9.90 euros.

Pumpkin Exhibition Blühendes Barock Ludwigsburg (Baden-Württemberg)

In the Blühendes Barock in Ludwigsburg, an impressive pumpkin exhibition takes place from August 22 to November 1 under the theme “LET’S PLAY.” It is the world’s largest pumpkin exhibition with more than 450,000 pumpkins.

Adults pay 15 euros on weekdays and 16 euros on weekends or holidays, children between 4 and 14 years 6 or 7 euros. Admission not only covers the pumpkin exhibition but also includes access to the gardens and the fairy tale garden of the Blühendes Barock.

From August 29 to November 1, the Schloss & Park Lichtenwalde hosts the pumpkin festival. This year, visitors can dive into the world of ancient Rome, staged with thousands of pumpkins.
