Most people generally have an idea of the size of countries around the world. Australia is quite large, Belgium is quite small. But what happens when you compare two countries of similar size? Or could you immediately tell if Mali is larger than Bolivia? Test your knowledge in our country quiz.
Particularly tricky: On world maps as we know them, countries are distorted because their scale centers on Europe. Some countries then appear much larger or smaller than they actually are. For example, Russia, which is still huge, is depicted disproportionately large. That’s why it’s often even harder to say which country is truly larger in area. Do you think you can still ace our geography quiz on the sizes of countries? Then try your luck!
