Untouched landscapes, authentic places, warm ambiance–and all without mass tourism. Europe’s still little-known corners captivate seasoned explorers as well as nature-loving enthusiasts. But which region is the best hidden gem? We want to find out with our big vote. Join us!
At TRAVELBOOK, we not only present the most popular travel destinations but also genuine hidden gems–such as the Tatra Mountains in Poland and Slovakia or Lake Balaton in Hungary. However, such hidden gem regions can be found all over Europe. The original Valle Maggia in Switzerland, Basilicata in southern Italy, or the Saimaa lake district in Finland are also considered true pearls off the beaten path. But which region is the best hidden gem among European travel destinations? We don’t want to decide that alone–so we asked the experts from our jury of last year’s TRAVELBOOK Awards for their personal tips.
Vote for the Best Hidden Gem Region in Europe!
The five regions mentioned above have qualified as the editorial team’s favorites. Now it’s your turn! Which of them deserves the title of the best hidden gem region in Europe? Cast your vote now!
Note on methodology: Each region can be voted on once per device (computer, smartphone, etc.). The winner will be officially announced in September as part of the TRAVELBOOK AWARD 2025. More information will follow shortly.
