For those who want to combine wellness with a city trip, Berlin offers Germany’s best hotel spa. The spa at the Waldorf Astoria Berlin, located near Kurfürstendamm in City West, was awarded. The approximately 1,000-square-meter spa area is located on the fifth floor of the hotel. Facilities include a cloud-shaped pool, a Finnish sauna, a steam bath, a sun terrace, and various massage and beauty treatments from the German cosmetics brand Babor. The offerings are complemented by several treatment rooms and a fitness area with a view over the city. Those not staying at the hotel can also use the spa area as day guests–a day ticket costs 85 euros.

Best Resort Spa: Lanserhof Tegernsee

Overlooking Lake Tegernsee and the surrounding Alps, the Lanserhof Tegernsee is one of Germany’s most renowned health resorts. Unlike a classic hotel spa, where relaxation is usually part of a vacation or city trip, health is the focus of the stay here.

The facility covers approximately 21,000 square meters and combines modern architecture with a holistic health concept. Guests can choose from various programs and short stays, ranging from multi-day beauty treatments to regeneration and longevity offerings to individual retreats. Treatments, exercise, nutrition, and relaxation are tailored to personal needs. However, those who want to indulge in this exclusive retreat must dig deep into their pockets: a four-day “Beauty Boost” program costs from 1,919 euros per person, with accommodation extra.

Best Wellness Retreat: Lanserhof Sylt

The fact that the Lanserhof brand was awarded twice by the World Spa Awards is evident with a look at Sylt. Between dunes and the Wadden Sea, at the northern end of the island in List, lies the Lanserhof Sylt. From many areas of the house, the view falls directly on the North Sea or the UNESCO World Heritage Wadden Sea. The facility spans approximately 20,000 square meters, with 55 rooms and treatment and medical areas.

The location on Sylt focuses even more on the idea of retreat: guests usually book multi-day stays that combine relaxation, exercise, and mindful breaks. For a short retreat, Lanserhof offers various programs, such as the four-day “Sport & Meditation” program, which costs from 2,840 euros per person, excluding accommodation.

Best Day Spa: Inanna Wellness

For those looking to unwind for a few hours, the fourth award-winning location is also in Berlin. Inanna Wellness near Gendarmenmarkt has been named Germany’s best day spa by the World Spa Awards for the third consecutive time.

Inanna focuses on individually tailored treatments for skin, body, and well-being. The centerpiece is the in-house Inanna method, where each treatment begins with a personal analysis and consultation. The facility offers various facial and body treatments, such as a 60-minute facial with deep cleansing and a regenerating facial massage, which costs 180 euros.
