Mulled wine, bratwurst, roasted almonds–a leisurely stroll through traditional Christmas markets can quickly become expensive. Five euros for a punch, ten euros for a tarte flambée: Prices rise year after year. But there’s another way: A concept promises unlimited enjoyment for a fixed price. TRAVELBOOK reveals which cities already have all-inclusive Christmas markets.

All-inclusive Christmas markets rely on a simple principle: One ticket–everything included. Pay once, and you can indulge without limits, avoiding long lines or reaching for your wallet. So far, this extraordinary offer is available in only two cities–one of which is celebrating its debut this year.

Christmas on the Spree” is considered Germany’s first all-inclusive Christmas market. Since 2020, the concept has been attracting visitors to the Spree warehouse directly at the Oberbaum Bridge in Friedrichshain. The location is spectacular: Visitors enjoy views of the illuminated bridge and the wintry Spree riverbank.

The offerings are plentiful: In addition to classics like bratwurst, neck steaks, and cheese spaetzle, there are specialties like the “Pulled Christmas Pork Burger” or Finnish flame-grilled salmon with horseradish-dill sauce. Sweet treats like crepes, waffles, quark balls, and roasted almonds are also included. Drinks such as mulled wine, punch, beer, wine, sparkling wine, and non-alcoholic alternatives are available without limit. Long drinks and shots cost extra.

Entertainment includes ice stock sport, log sawing, and cozy fire pits. The concept was developed during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020. Due to the limited number of guests, there are neither long lines nor crowds. The market is so popular that tickets often sell out weeks in advance–an online reservation is therefore essential.

The “All You Can Eat & Drink Christmas Market” is Vienna’s first response to Berlin’s successful concept. For the first time this year, “Der Garten Wien” in the Prater Hauptallee is transformed into a true winter wonderland. The premiere took place just a few days ago.

The culinary offerings combine not only Austrian cuisine but also modern street food creativity. The menu includes lentil soup, cheese spaetzle, potato pancakes, mini yeast dumplings, Kaiserschmarrn, and various vegan specialties. Here, too, mulled wine, punch, and other drinks are included without restriction.

The ambiance aims to convey traditional Christmas market vibes while also creating a modern festival feeling. Thus, in addition to the culinary offerings, fire pits, live music, DJs, games, and photo spots create a festive atmosphere under twinkling lights. Additionally, activities like log sawing and a giant Jenga game are part of the program.
