Angelika, who prefers to be called Geli, discovered her enthusiasm for foreign countries and cultures while studying geography in Mainz. But the world of media had always fascinated her as well., so after a traineeship at a Hamburg TV and print news station, she initially worked for a while in television and as an online journalist, including at Sat.1, RTL, Radio Bremen and BILD.de. Ultimately, however, she was more interested in writing, and in TRAVELBOOK she finally found her absolute dream job. Writing about the most beautiful and exciting places in the world - what could be better?

Isa Kabakci was born in 1993, is originally from Swabia and has lived in Berlin for several years. During and after studying anthropology and Portuguese in Mainz, he completed several internships, jobs as a working student and a traineeship in editorial departments at various media companies. He has been working as an editor at BOOK family since 2022 and is responsible for product guides and comparisons.

Editor-in-Chief

Nuno Alves is Editor-in-Chief and co-founder of BILD’s BOOK family of digital brands, which includes FITBOOK, TRAVELBOOK, STYLEBOOK, TECHBOOK, myHOMEBOOK, and PETBOOK. BILD is Germany’s leading media outlet and part of Axel Springer, the global publishing group behind Politico, Business Insider, and Morning Brew. Nuno studied communication science at the University of Hohenheim in southern Germany, specializing in journalism, political science, and public relations. He began his career in journalism at Hubert Burda Media—one of Germany’s largest publishing groups—where he played a key role in building BUNTE.de, the online edition of the country’s most prominent celebrity magazine. He later joined BILD, where he initially led the online entertainment section before becoming Chief Text Editor. He then co-founded TRAVELBOOK, which has since become Germany’s most popular online travel magazine. Travel is more than just part of his professional focus—it’s a lifelong passion that goes hand in hand with his interest in fitness, health, and longevity. Nuno has explored nearly every continent, from backpacking adventures in Mexico to road trips through Europe and Canada. Two countries are especially close to his heart: Portugal, his family’s country of origin, and Brazil, where he frequently visits relatives. He is especially drawn to places with unique narratives or extraordinary landscapes. High on his current travel wish list: Japan, Oceania, Cape Verde, Colombia, Mozambique, and Taiwan.

Managing Editor

Yannic Stock, born in 1990, has been part of the TRAVELBOOK team since early 2024. While working for a Frankfurt-based tour operator, he realized that he preferred writing about travel to selling it. He went on to study online journalism in Darmstadt, which eventually led to a job in Hamburg, where he provided city travel tips for destinations like Rome, London, and New York on various travel websites. After working at other media companies, he now writes for TRAVELBOOK about all travel topics that personally inspire him. And vacations? He prefers places where it’s really warm — from the Greek islands to Southeast Asia. Still, the Yukon and Alaska are right at the top of his bucket list.
