In February, the maximum temperature is 25 degrees Celsius, with up to six hours of sunshine a day and usually no rainy days. Perfect for escaping the cold weather and soaking up some sun.

3. Madeira
Not quite as warm as perhaps the Cape Verde Islands, but all the more spectacular is Madeira in February. The Portuguese island is also considered a hiker’s paradise, and with a pleasant average of 19 degrees, February offers perfect conditions for exploration tours. Additionally, the blooming season of magnolias, camellias, and azaleas begins, making the island even more beautiful. At the end of February, a significant event takes place in Madeira: Thousands of people celebrate in the streets of Funchal in extravagant costumes and with rhythmic dances during Carnival.
4. Cape Town
If you want to really get away but not just lie on the beach, Cape Town might be the right choice! In February, this destination enjoys summer temperatures of up to 27 degrees. There are great beaches for sunbathing, surfing, and relaxing. Cape Town also offers numerous restaurants and bars that are full of life and provide one culinary highlight after another. In nearby wildlife reserves, you can also go on a safari during a day trip.
5. Phuket
Lying on a palm-lined beach, gazing at the turquoise water, and simply letting your mind wander: There’s a warm travel destination that fulfills all wishes in February—at a hot 33 degrees Celsius! We’re talking about Phuket in Thailand. The island offers a colorful variety. There are beaches with lively parties and numerous opportunities for water sports, as well as areas that seem almost untouched and incredibly beautiful.

6. Dominican Republic
You can also enjoy a relaxing beach vacation in the Dominican Republic. With 29 degrees and a water temperature of 26 to 28 degrees, February is quite bearable there. Besides sunbathing, you can also explore the Caribbean underwater world on a dive. Additionally, with a bit of luck, you might spot humpback whales in February.
7. Maldives
For many, the Maldives is a destination they would like to see at least once in their lifetime. February is a good time, as temperatures reach 30 degrees, the sun shines for about nine hours daily, and there are only four rainy days on average throughout the month. With a warm water temperature of 29 degrees, you can snorkel and observe the underwater world in the Maldives.
