The Wild Horses
The wild horses of Livno have a storied history. Their origins date back to the 1970s when they were used as work animals in agriculture. However, with the increased use of tractors and mechanical equipment, the horses were needed less and less. Instead of selling them, most farmers simply set them free. These horses adapted to life without human assistance and have reproduced over time. Today, numerous small herds have established themselves in the region.
