Or the locals who take the time for a conversation and enthusiastically introduce their homeland.
Hospitality often shows in small moments–and these are what travelers remember the longest. That’s why we want to know from you: Where are guests most warmly welcomed in Germany? For this year’s TRAVELBOOK Award, we are searching for Germany’s most hospitable state!

Announcement at the TRAVELBOOK Award 2026
Your vote will decide which state ultimately secures the title of Germany’s most hospitable. The result will be announced on September 24, 2026, during the TRAVELBOOK Awards 2026.
Every year, personalities from the travel and tourism industry gather at the Axel Springer building in Berlin for the festive award ceremony to honor outstanding achievements, trends, and developments in travel. It will also reveal which state is perceived as particularly warm, open, and inviting by people here.
