The fascination with Harry Potter remains unbroken. Nearly three decades after the first novel was published, the magical world is getting a completely new destination. The Legoland Deutschland Resort in Günzburg is creating the world’s first Harry Potter land in the style of Lego. And that’s not all–visitors will soon be able to stay overnight in accommodations inspired by the world of the famous young wizard.
Lego Meets Magic: New Theme Area in Planning
According to BILD, Legoland Deutschland announced that the new themed world aims to bridge the fantasy world of Harry Potter with the creative world of Lego bricks. This will expand the Bavarian amusement park, which currently has 11 themed areas, with another attraction–one that is sure to be a special highlight for fans of Hogwarts and company.

Largest Single Investment in a Legoland Location
The operators describe it as a milestone in the park’s history. Legoland Managing Director Manuela Stone stated in a release: “The Lego Harry Potter area and the world’s first Harry Potter accommodation represent Merlin’s largest single investment in an existing location to date.”
Specific details about the layout of the new area and the amount of the investment remain under wraps for now. The project partners–Legoland’s parent company Merlin Entertainments and Warner Bros. Discovery–plan to release more information over the course of the coming year.
First Glimpses: Hogwarts Awaits Visitors
It is already certain, however, that visitors can look forward to a reunion with the famous school of witchcraft and wizardry. The backdrop of Hogwarts is set to be part of the new themed world–recreated in Lego, of course.
Günzburg’s Mayor Gerhard Jauernig also expressed enthusiasm for the project. On social media, he wrote: “Günzburg remains a place where the future is built–brick by brick!”
